I always wait too long to update the site. Our trip to the states was too short and we did not get to meet with everyone we wanted to but it was somewhat refreshing. We dont do any formal itinerating. What we would rather do with the little time we have at home is to spend it with individuals, share our vision, and share life. Sop thats what we did. We returned somewhat encouraged and our vision is always clearer when we are encouraged to put it into words.

This fall has been spent trying to develop a supportive environment for artists-like always. We open our home as much as people are willing to show up. I also did the website and some design work for an international dvd/website project called Foliodvd. That actually took quite a bit of my time. The DVD launch was at the Design Festa. It was huge this time! 3 floors of random artisttic endeavors. I will probably post a few pics later. Please check back. We also pray, pray, pray.

so you want to be an actor*
Life wouldn't be the same here without my acting career. God help me. Most of the time its humiliating. I get lots of phone calls from the agencies I am registered with. They submit my photo to the production company. Then they are supposed to call me back to tell me if I get the job or when the audition is scheduled for. But that is what they are supposed to do. Sometimes they dont call back at all. Just leave me hanging. to quote Droopy the dog "That makes me mad". So they reserve my schedule and then they dont call or they call the night before.

Lets see what have I acted in lately- the first Japanese Surfing movie- "Catch a Wave". I was a walk on extra, crowd scenes on a military base-no surfing. I think it is a Paramount pictures or some other big US based production. The actors aren't famous-yet. What else- rich socialites ina bar, the last one was a swat team on a hijacked aircraft. Did an audition for a popstar music video- had to dance. oh yah and I auditioned for a movie about Zombie Baseball players. I have been a Zombie and a Baseball player.

I will have to be honest, at times it seems there isn't enough going on. I am tempted to just fill my time up with stuff which doesnt really fit our focus.

Prayer*
1.) Holiday season- please pray for opportunities to share about Jesus and God this holiday season as we meet with friends. And we will also meet with Kaoruko's family in Nagoya.
2.) Artists- Japanese society doesn't allow lots of freedom for "individuals" therefore people experience heavy pressure to conform and get a "real job". Pray they would find God in their work and that he would meet them. Pray we would be able to be an encouraging force and be that voice that says "you are not crazy".
3.) Nihongo- Japanese- I am trying to enroll in a full time Japanese program. The cost is about $3500 a semester. Please pray for funds. We are waiting for a miracle "insert name here" . The only possibility we see at the moment is a possible govt loan if I am eligible.
recommended book* -
"A Christian Manefesto" by Dr. Francis Schaeffer. Kaoruko says this "It makes my commute to work so much better"

about the site*
I have included many photos in the new gallery section and a 1 min. video of the Fools fest. Just click on the links to the left. Each gallery has multiple pictures and there are several ways to navigate through them. The easiest way is to click on the picture itself which will bring you to the next picture. There is also a new archive section in case you missed the last edition.
