We have just been settling in and slowly developing a normal life, if life is ever normal especially in Japan. Most of my days consist of part grahic design, part domestic errands, and part prayer walking/ connecting with the community in some capacity. This next season will be one of observation, prayer, language study, and making the most of opportunities God is placing before us. Everyday is different than the other. Last week I was part of a mock jury for a patent trial. We basically had to listen to the case and deliberate on camera while a group of Japanese people watched live. These types of jobs are available in Japan and provide us with a few extra dollars. The only drawback is that time is spent away from the Japanese community. Although there is a great need to minister to the lonely expatriate community I could get sucked into that community quite easily.
